Welcome to my website

I am a researcher at the World Inequality Lab. I have a Master's degree in Applied Economics specializing in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics, as well as a Master's degree in Applied Economics from ITAM in Mexico.

My research focuses on development economics. Currently, I am focused on understanding how human capital formation impacts the life outcomes of individuals in developing contexts.

I am also interested in studying inequality and currently serve as the Coordinator of the 2026 World Inequality Report.

In 2024, I was honored to receive the prestigious Joaquín Xirau Icaza Economics Award from Colegio de México for my research on the medium-term impact of early education on academic performance (see awarded working paper). Additionally, I received the ITAM Alumni Research Award (honorable mention).

My professional experience includes working as an Economist at Mexico's Central Bank and serving as Director of Domestic Debt Issuance at the Mexican Ministry of Finance.
